| Attendance and Punctuality |
Attendance and punctuality will be weighed in determining your final grade. Students are expected to attend all classes and to be on time for class. If a student is late to class (15 minutes or more) or leaves class early (15 minutes or more) or misses class, it will have the following adverse effect on his/her grade:
Students absent the week before a quiz or assignment will be expected to take the quiz with the class. Students will be expected to make up any work they may have missed because of their absence or tardiness.

Additional Information on Articles
You will be given a large collection of articles related to the usefulness of computers in the classroom. Each individual enrolled in the class will turn in a 2-3 page summary and personal reaction to the article. An oral report will be presented to the class on the assigned date. Report must be turned in before presenting the oral report. Individual should be prepared to answer questions pertaining to their article.
Additional Information on Team Projects
Each class member will join or be assigned to a collaborative team. Each team will be responsible for the development of an instructional packet to suit the needs of a specific group of students, covering at least 4 lessons. Collaborative planning time will be included in the class sessions. One write-up of your team's packet must be submitted with the final presentation during the our last 2 class sessions. Team members will receive individual grades based on an evaluation by the instructor as well as their team members. In addition, each team member will receive a composite grade based on a n evaluation of its oral and written project.
The instructional packet must include a description of the student population, detailed lesson plan, materials, Internet sites, and method of evaluation. Lessons must be constructed in such a way that a novice should be able to pick up the instructional packet and duplicate the lesson. Lessons must be targeted to at least one of the main subject areas (e.g. Language Arts, Science, Math, Social Studies, etc.).
Additional Information on Top 10 Educational Web Sites:
Students will be receive a web address facilitating the input of their Top 10 educational web sites. The fill-in-the-blank form will include space for additional comments for each URL chosen, such as the sites usefulness for a teacher or student.
